I've long been enamored by texture, the vastness of negative space, and the immediacy of weight.
After I graduated from Hamline University with a BA in Theatre Arts and Digital Media Arts, I spent a few years in the luscious dance and theatre scene of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. I co-founded Spaceheater with Jon Dahl, and we presented work in squash courts, studio showings/labs, as hired guest artists, and produced an evening length work in a vacant storefront. Another highlight of my stint in the Twin Cities is performing and studying with Live Action Set in "Unset," an improv dance process that invites an audience member to be the protagonist of the movement-piece we create with them, emceed by Jeff Wirth (Interactive PlayLab). I also began working with TigerLion Arts on Nature, and The Coldharts on The Unrepentant Necrophile - both of these productions went on to tour nationally.

After moving to New York in 2017, I produced my own solo show, co-founded/produced the So-fi Festival for solo, low-fi performing artists, danced with Open Dance Ensemble, studied with JoAnna Mendl Shaw, and continued touring with Nature and The Unrepentant Necrophile. After the pandemic, my focus concentrated more heavily toward hospitality and the service industry, creating cocktails and guiding guests through their dining experiences.
A couple years ago, I moved upstate in the Hudson Valley and helped open a bar call Night School where I've spent over two years building up the programming and events, slinging cocktails and cultivating a community. It's been a great joy hosting a live music series, STIRRED, UP where I get to play drums and bring in different guest artists to play with every month.
